Marching Raiders march in the Memorial Day Parade

This is a big one for me! It’s Paris’s first outing as an official Marching Raider.

Of course she’s still in 8th grade until the end of this year, but those taking band in their freshman year (9th grade, first year of high school for those – like me – who need an explanation of “freshman”) are being integrated into high school band as of now.

This means, she was able to march with the Marching Raiders in the Memorial Day parade today.

I apologize for totally missing the right hand side of the shot, I couldn’t see the screen on my camera!

Inter-City Middle Level Honors Festival

Two of my daughters, Paris and Ciel, earned a place in the Inter-City Festival, and I couldn’t be more proud of them!

All the kids did a great job playing four pieces, considering they had only had minimal practices, and only one practice with the kids from the other schools.
